Okay, I haven’t blogged for so long… This is something I really need to work on! Here it is, 2014, the start of a brand New Year, and I’m looking forward to making it the best year it can be.
Christmas seems to get more hectic every year, but part of it I acknowledge I do to myself. I really hate how commercialized it is, but then I impose a certain level of perfection on myself, which totally diverts the true focus of the season. Another thing I need to work on… Oh, there are so many!
So here’s the end result of all the maddening shopping to get just the right gifts and ensure my family has a meaningful and memorable day. Here’s when I breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy the quiet peacefulness of Christmas Eve and the anticipation of Christmas morning. And, finally…, a time when I purposely reflect on the gloriousness of Christmas and Jesus’ birth.
