I’d like to start by saying I’ve been visiting some of the amazing and very creative mommy blogs out there and, man, do I have a lot of catching up to do!! There’s a limitless wealth of knowledge, information, and resources out there and it’s just a great time to be a mom and connect with these wonderful women! My sons are older so I didn’t have that luxury at my fingertips back then. My MOPS group met just once a month and I loved every minute of it!
Now onto the introductions. Here’s the most recent photo of my boys all together — Christmas 2012. Nathan is 27, Eric’s 24, Justin’s 22, and Branson is 17. (I guess they’re men now but I’ll always call them “my boys.”) It’s not very easy to get them to pose for a picture…. I tell them I’m making MEMORIES and they’ll be glad someday. I don’t think boys (or men) understand how vitally important that is! Yes, they are very studly — and they are each very brilliant in their own special and unique way.
I have a pretty amazing husband. We’ve been married since October 6, 1984 — 28 years, and we dated for 4 years before that. Marriage is such a roller-coaster ride, certainly not like the fairy tale I thought it would be — you know — Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty. Prince Charming may not be real, but I love my husband very much. I know that love changes as it grows and evolves, but that could be a whole other post! My husband is a great guy; he retired from the Chandler Fire Department in April 2009. Okay, who doesn’t love a firefighter?! Here’s our wedding photo. He looked gorgeous, huh!
We are definitely a dog-loving family, so meet Zorro and Rocco — doing one of their favorite things. Zorro has been with us for almost 12 years and Rocco joined us about 2 years ago, and he doesn’t really have crazy red eyes… Zorro has been a good teacher and a very good influence on Rocco.
So there you have it — the JONES family. Welcome!! I look forward to sharing more about our life together, my journey as a new author, and of course Alphabet Anatomy. Have a fabulous day and thank you so much for stopping by.
